Our building cooperative is based on a democratic principle: it is supported by its members and controlled by three central committees. These ensure that all decisions are made in the interests of the members and implemented in an economically sensible manner.
Assembly of representatives - the highest body
The members elect their assembly of representatives, which is the highest body that decides on the fundamental matters of the cooperative. This also includes the election of the Supervisory Board.
Supervisory Board - monitoring, advising and appointing the Management Board
The Supervisory Board monitors the Management Board, advises it strategically and ensures the sustainable direction of the cooperative. It is also responsible for appointing the Management Board in order to ensure management in line with member objectives.
Management Board - leadership and responsibility
The Management Board manages the Braunschweiger Baugenossenschaft on its own responsibility and represents it externally. It makes operational decisions and implements the resolutions of the Representatives' Meeting.
