Quarter: Caspari district

Living in the Caspari district

Near to the park. Short distances to shopping. Sports and culture in the neighborhood - and the city center right next door: these are the qualities offered by the Caspari district.

If you like being in the countryside, cycling or walking, you have an attractive starting point right on your doorstep: the Braunschweig Ringgleis. The green leisure ring runs around the city - and offers over 22 kilometers of recreation and numerous discoveries. This also includes two special playgrounds in Nordpark, in the immediate vicinity of around 200 BBG apartments: a four-metre-high play dragon and a youth playground with a calisthenics facility, basketball court, bouldering wall and pump track.

Diversity right on the doorstep From everyday life to culture

The rest of the infrastructure is also excellent. Kindergartens, all types of schools, good medical care, a wide range of stores, large supermarkets and restaurants ranging from Italian restaurants to sushi specialties: The residential area offers all-round care. This also applies to the range of events on offer. Schimmelhof is home to Braunschweig's smallest theater, for example. The Kult offers cabaret, puppet shows, comedy, concerts and magic in a living room atmosphere. Meanwhile, the B 58 appeals to a younger audience with parties, poetry evenings and concerts. Focus: rock, hard rock and punk. The Haus der Kulturen is also very popular. Concerts, salsa dance classes, cooking get-togethers, games afternoons and intercultural women's dance parties facilitate exchange and encounters at the former Nordbahnhof station.

Experience community Leisure for every taste

The Evangelical Lutheran church community Die Brücke also provides a wide range of leisure activities. The large congregation offers playgroups, choirs, music groups, concerts, excursions, gymnastics and arts and crafts. Or would you prefer sport? With Eintracht Braunschweig, SV Olympia '92 and TuRa 1865, there are three clubs offering sports activities close to home, from tennis to beach volleyball.

Young, lively, optimally networked Close to campus, culture & short distances

The Caspari quarter is also very lively thanks to the many students who live here. They appreciate the short distances to the canteens, Campus North, the Forumplatz and the Haus der Wissenschaft. Exhibitions, excursions and entertaining events are regularly held there.
