Quarters: Siegfried Quarter
Living in the Siegfried Quarter
Buggi: that's what many call the central meeting point in the neighborhood. Burgundenplatz is home to soccer goals, basketball hoops, swings, a climbing castle with a slide and lots of benches where you can watch, talk or simply enjoy the warm days. In summer, regular activities take place here, organized by the B 58 children's and youth center and the Salm Studio - a creative laboratory that offers croquet, Viking chess, drawing sessions and a printing workshop, for example. B 58, named after the street Bültenweg 58, also appeals to a young target group: with concerts, parties, cooking, sports, school childcare and a cultural pub. You can quickly strike up a conversation there at poetry evenings, political workshops or art events.
In the north of Braunschweig Meeting place for young and old
Eintracht Braunschweig and the American football team New Yorker Lions are often the topic of conversation. The stadium is within easy walking distance of the Siegfriedviertel. After the games, people talk shop: at Roni with pizza, pasta and ice cream, at Mama's Dinner in the garden (with burgers and salad) or in the snack bars and pubs. One of them has the original name "Denk-Bar". The cozy places for breakfast and coffee are also very popular: two bakeries and a café.
There is plenty on offer for all generations and all walks of life in the north of Braunschweig. In Mittelweg there is a neighborhood center with games afternoons, knitting groups, handicrafts, bingo and advice. In Ottenroder Straße, older residents meet in a meeting place for coffee, cake and games - and the church congregation Die Brücke invites people to concerts, yoga, senior gymnastics, choirs, handicraft circles or baby, women's and men's meetings.

Right on the doorstep Sport, relaxation and everything for everyday life
The range of sports on offer is just as diverse. No fewer than three clubs make it possible to be active in sports close to home: with tried-and-tested sports such as soccer, tennis and basketball or rarer sports such as rugby, jugger and quadball. Nordstadt also offers the largest bowling center in Lower Saxony, the Greifhaus bouldering hall, fitness studios, a dance school and the Wasserwelt sports pool with a large sauna and wellness area.
And those who prefer to take it easy can stroll and relax in the Bürgergarten am Dowesee, in the Ludwigsgarten in Ludwigstraße or in the Nordpark.
The other infrastructure of the Siegfriedviertel, which is close to the university and the city center, is also impressive. There are kindergartens, all types of schools, good medical care, a post office, a weekly market, supermarket and drugstore as well as services ranging from driving schools to self-service laundromats, from massages to pedicures. In short: all-round care.
