Quarters: Western ring road area
Living in the western ring road area
Individual small stores, squares with a high quality of stay, pretty architecture, walls with impressive graffiti and a wide variety of leisure activities: All of this can be found in the Westliche Ringgebiet.
A multicultural environment Art, upcycling and all-round care
Anyone strolling through the multicultural neighborhood will discover plenty of sustainability and creativity. In the neighborhood, for example, there are innovative florists, upcycling products, second-hand fashion and a swap and giveaway store. Many musicians, architects, designers and artists also work in the district. You can often see how things are progressing. Every summer, for example, the Academy of Fine Arts invites you to a large tour: with exhibitions, presentations, discussions, film screenings and theater - for four days. The residential area also offers all-round services: with supermarkets and everything from nail salons to copy stores, from dry cleaners to tea stores.

Meeting point Westbahnhof Sport, art and relaxation
In addition to the many cafés and restaurants, the youth square at Westbahnhof is a popular meeting place. Soccer, basketball and table tennis are played between the IT campus and the Jolly Time disco. There is a skate park, a BMX course and large-scale graffiti artworks. The Garden without Borders, the Fliegerhalle bouldering and climbing center and the Westand and KufA-Haus cultural centers are located in the immediate vicinity. At the entrance to Westbahnhof, huge flower lamps light up in the dark. There is also plenty of space to relax in Juliusstraße: on a playground and youth area with a basketball court or the many seating areas on the forecourt.

Western ring road area Recreation and city life combined
The Westliche Ringgebiet, where the BBG manages around 700 apartments, offers many other leisure activities, including the Monkey Town indoor playground, a bowling alley and a fitness studio with classes ranging from Zumba to kickboxing. The Raffteichbad is also just a few minutes away. Large open-air concerts are held in front of the outdoor pool in summer.
The district was created at the end of the 19th century. The ring of streets around the historic city center - along with wide cycle paths - also ensures short distances to the city center, the Volkswagen Halle, the clubs at Europaplatz or the Westpark and Bürgerpark.
